Javapsocus Endang, Thornton & New View in CoL
Javapsocus Endang, Thornton & New , 202: 168.
Type species: Javapsocus intimadentatus Endang, Thornton & New, 2002: 168 .
Males of the four described species of Javapsocus are each distinctive on the form of the hypandrium and phallosome. In contrast, all known females are very similar in appearance and can be identified only by inferences from association with presumed conspecific males. On Sumatra, as found earlier on Java ( Endang et al., 2002), we note presence of females in samples but designate them simply as ‘unassigned species’ until it becomes possible to diagnose them more adequately.
