Chalarus zyginae Jervis, 1992: 309 .

Diagnosis: Male with dark brown hairs on all femora. Phallus ( Fig. 9 ) with phs straight; tdp short and broad; Lmtdp:Ltdp~2.7; two php which are app. as long as mtdp; all ejaculatory ducts placed distally on mtdp; ejaculatory apodeme parasol-shaped (as in Fig. 19 ); Female with frontal facets greatly enlarged (as in J92 Fig. 3 D); frons very narrow, at narrowest point 1.0 times diameter of largest frontal facet; flagellum dark brown; legs dark brown but base of femora and area around femoral-tibial joints may be somewhat paler; pulvilli of all legs of same size, shorter than distitarsus; hairs on femora mid to dark brown but pvsr of mid femur light brown; hairs on thorax and abdomen dark brown; abdominal tergites dark brown; ovipositor as in Figs 51–52 . Annotations: DNA barcodes could be obtained for males only. The female holotype was studied. The ovipositor is figured in Fig. 51 , tergite 9 being slightly smaller than in the drawing provided in Jervis (1992). The ovipositor is very similar to C. holosericeus but smaller on the whole (see Jervis’ drawings for C. zyginae and C. perplexus to get an idea of the ratio). Also, tergite 9 is gently and evenly bent. Its known host species is Zygina suavis .
