Description of Hyphomonas jannaschiana IMCC 25644

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, entire and white colored after 3 days of incubation on MA at 20℃. Strain IMCC25644 is negative for nitrate reduction, β -galactosidase, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, indole production, urease, gelatinase, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate, phenylacetic acid, capric acid, adipic acid, D-glucose and L-arabinose in API 20NE. Strain IMCC25644 (= NIBR BAC000498543) was isolated from plant roots, Incheon, Korea.
