Current name: Tephrosia virginiana (L.) Pers. View in CoL ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Britten & Baker (in J. Bot. 29: 12-19. 1900) provide a detailed study of the two species included within Linnaeus’ concept of this name and present a synonymy (with accepted names subsequently reversed, l.c.: 53). However, they did not designate a type.
