Lectotype (Jafri in Jafri & El-Gadi, Fl. Libya 60: 5. 1978): Herb. Linn. No. 1239.1 ( LINN) .

Generitype of Ceratonia Linnaeus.

Current name: Ceratonia siliqua L. View in CoL ( Fabaceae : Caesalpinioideae ).

Note: Both Roti-Michelozzi (in Webbia 13: 178. 1957) and Isely (in Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 25(2): 210. 1975) noted specimens at LINN, but neither explicitly indicated a type.
