Lichenomima lienhardi n. sp.

( Figs 37–42 View FIGURES 37–42 )

Diagnosis. By the shape of the hypandrium, epiproct and paraproct, it is closely related to L. ariasi , but unlike this it presents a basally widened phallosome ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 37–42 ), external parameres distally widened, incurved, strongly angled, aedeagus apically widened and endophallic membrane with apical spinous processes.

Male. Color. Head ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 37–42 ) brown, vertex, part of the frons, postclypeus and genae darker; compound eyes dark brown; ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Antenna pale brown; maxillary palps brown, Mx 4 darker distally. Thorax brown, with cream spots. Legs pale brown. Forewings ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 37–42 ) with pale brown spots, veins brown, some punctate; alar margin, subcostal, R1 and anal vein punctate, pterostigma with light and brown spots, vein m with a dark brown stain in the distal part. Hindwings ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 37–42 ) smoked, brown veins, with costa vein dotted distally. Abdomen white creamy, clunium pale brown, hypandrium dark brown ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 37–42 ), paraprocts and epiproct light brown ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37–42 ), phallosome dark brown ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 37–42 ).

Morphology. As in diagnosis, plus the following: Head ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 37–42 ): H/MxW: 1.25; compound eyes large, H/D: 1.84; IO/MxW: 0.48. Vertex slightly below upper edge of compound eyes. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with four denticles; Mx4/Mx2: 1.36. Forewings ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 37–42 ): L/W: 2.51. Pterostigma: lp/wp: 3.41, areola postica high, with vertex touching vein M: al/ah: 1.34. Hindwings ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 37–42 ): l/w: 2.72. Hypandrium with extensive basally projecting sclerotization ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 37–42 ), with setae and macrosetae as illustrated. Phallosome ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 37–42 ). Paraprocts with elongate posterior process and rounded and incurving apex, with distal setae as illustrated, another outwardly curving apical process crossing below anterior process ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37–42 ); with a field of setae and macrosetae on distal area; sensory fields with 28 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37–42 ) with superficial dorsal flap with setal field scattered as illustrated.
