Anastoechus aurecrinitus Du & Yang, 1990: 283 View in CoL . Type locality: China (Inner Mongolia).

Diagnosis. Abdomen mostly with golden yellow hairs on dorsum; sternites with long dense white and yellow erect hairs. Epandrium slightly wider than long, slightly swollen at middle in dorsal view, and epiphallus subtriangular and acute at tip in dorsal view.

Redescription. Male. Body length 8–9 mm, wing length 8–9 mm.

Head ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 11 ) black with pale dust. Hairs on head black and white; frons parallel two sides, with long sparse black erect hairs, face with long dense white erect hairs and long sparse black erect hairs; occiput with long sparse black erect hairs. Antenna black except yellow at joints; scape elongate with long dense white and black hairs; first flagellomere elongate, bare, with a stylus at tip. Proboscis black, bare, nearly four times longer than head.

Thorax black with pale dust. Hairs on thorax mostly yellow; postpronotal lobe with long dense yellow hairs, mesonotum with long sparse yellow hairs; thorax almost bare on back, anepisternum and katepisternum with long dense white hairs. Scutellum black with pale dust, with six yellow bristles on each side. Legs black except tibiae yellow. Hairs on legs mostly yellow, bristles yellow. Femora with dense white scales; tibiae and tarsi with short yellow hairs and sparse white scales. Mid femur with three av apically; hind femur with six av. Mid tibia with seven ad, 10 pd, six av, eight pv; hind tibia with seven ad, eight pd, five av and eight pv. Wing ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) uniformly faint brown. Vein r-m close to tip of cell dm, cell r5 closed. Base of vein C with brush-like long black bristles and white hairs. Halteres yellowish.

Abdomen black with brown dust. Hairs on abdomen mostly golden yellow; dorsum with long dense golden yellow erect hairs and with a row of dark brown bristles posteriorly. Sternites with long dense white and yellow erect hairs.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 27–32 View FIGURES 27 – 32 ). Epandrium trapezoidal, distinctly higher than long; cercus well exposed in lateral view; epandrium slightly wider than long, slightly swollen at middle in dorsal view; gonocoxite with black bristle-like hairs apically, slightly narrowing apically in ventral view; gonostylus elongate, its tip acute in lateral view; epiphallus subtriangular, acute at tip in dorsal view, epiphallus with a rather long and narrow tip in lateral view.

Female. Body length 9 mm, wing length 10 mm. Similar to male, but wing with tegula with yellow hairs; sternites black except posterior edge yellow, hairs on sternites mostly yellow.
