Type host. Common snipe, Gallinago gallinago (Linnaeus) (Syn. Capella gallinago gallinago Linnaeus ) ( Charadriiformes : Scolopacidae ).

Type locality. Bara Lake, near Allahabad, India.

Remarks. This species was originally described as Cyclocoelum noohi Wesley, 1943 , but was listed as Cycloprimum nochi ( Wesley, 1943) by Yamaguti (1971). Cycloprimum is considered to be a synonym of Cyclocoelum ( Kanev et al. 2002a). Rudimentary oral sucker present—Wesley (1943).
