M. dumetellae ( Zeliff, 1943) View in CoL

Type host. Grey catbird, Dumetella carolinensis (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Mimidae ).

Type locality. Adams County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Remarks. This species was originally described as Cyclocoelum dumetellae Zeliff, 1943 , but it was considered to be a synonym of Cyclocoelum ( Hyptiasmus) elongatum Harrah, 1921 by Dubois (1959). Yamaguti (1958) transferred it to Morishitium . Rudimentary oral sucker present—Zeliff (1943).
