( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 )

Female: (n = 8) Body spindleform, 227.5 (215–230) long, 74 (68–76) wide, 72.5 (70–74) thick. Gnathosoma 31 (29–32) long, projecting obliquely down. Prodorsal shield with frontal lobe, 48.5 (45–50) long, 57.5 (54– 59) wide; median line incomplete, from base to 1/2; admedian and submedian lines complete, sinuous; all lines form networks. Scapular tubercles ahead of rear margin, 22 (21–23) apart, scapular setae (sc) 4.5 (4–5) long, directed mediad. Coxae: sternal line present, coxal area with short lines, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 9 (8–10) long, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 20 (18–21) long, proximal setae on coxisternum ІІ (2a) 55 (50–58) long. Leg segments normal. Leg І 36 (35–36) long, femur 11.5 (11–12) long, basiventral femoral setae (bv) 13 (11–14) long; genu 6 (5.5–6) long, antaxial genual setae (l'') 25 (22–27) long; tibia 9 (8.5–9) long, paraxial tibial setae (l') 6 (5.5–6) long, located at center; tarsus 7 (7–7.5) long; tarsal empodium simple, 6-rayed, tarsal solenidion slightly knobbed. Leg ІI 33 (32–34) long, femur 11 (10–11) long, basiventral femoral setae (bv) 15 (13–16) long; genu 5 (4.5–5) long, antaxial genual setae (l'') 9 (8–10) long; tibia 7.5 (7–8) long, tarsus 7 (6.5–7) long. Opisthosoma: dorsum with median furrow; dorsal opisthosomal annuli 37 (35–38), with spiny microtubercles; ventral annuli 77 (75–79), with round microtubercles; setae c2 30 (27–32) long, on ventral annulus 17 (16–17); setae d 80 (75–82) long, on ventral annulus 33 (32–34); setae e 10 (9–11) long, on ventral annulus 55 (52–57); setae f 20 (19–21) long, on 5th ventral annulus from rear; setae h1 present. Female genitalia 20 (19–21) long, 27 (26–28) wide, coverflap basally with some short lines and distally with 18 longitudinal ridges; proximal setae on coxisternum ІІІ (3a) 65 (60–67) long.

Male: Not seen.

Type data: Holotype, female, Jiulong Waterfall, 48 km northeast of Heng County (22°69´N, 109°2´E), Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, 15-Oct.-2004, from Embelia subcoriacea Mez. (Myrsinaceae) , coll. De-Wei LI, Guo-Quan WANG & Guo-Ying SHI. Paratypes, 8 females, with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host: The mites are vagrants on the undersurface of the leaves, no visible damage.

Note: This species is similar to Phyllocoptruta morindae Kerfer, 1977 , but can be differentiated by prodorsal shield submedian lines complete; scapular setae (sc) directed mediad; Female genitalia coverflap basally with some transverse lines and distally with 18 longitudinal ridges; empodium 6-rayed.

Etymology: The species name is derived from the name of the host plant.
