Type Locality: Burma, Kachin Hills.

Vernacular Names: Joffre's Pipistrelle.

Distribution: N Burma.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Critically Endangered as Pipistrellus joffrei .

Discussion: Transferred from Nyctalus ; see Hill (1966). Koopman (1989 a, 1993) suggested that it might best be returned to Nyctalus , but see Hill (1966) and Hill and Harrison (1987).
