Idiopsodes radiatifrons (Heller)

Description. Lectotype ( Fig. 27a View FIGURE 27 ). Length. Pronotum plus elytron 4.95 mm. Integument covered with appressed grey scales. Head with subangulate, transverse sulcus separating rostral base; vertex with marked radial furrows, covered by scales. Rostrum as long as wide (1.00 X), sides subparallel; apical declivity with sunk-in scales, with interspersed erect scales. Antennal funicle with article 2 longer (1.2 X) than article 1. Pronotum as long as wide (1.05 X); coarsely punctate, squamose; with median subglabrous ridge. Elytra 1.24 X as long as wide; dorsally flattened; interval 6 forming lateral ridge, bearing dense fringe of long erect scales; at middle ridge most distinct, scales black; along humeri and in apical third scales light-greyish; disc without erect scales; apical declivity with sparse, relatively short, erect scales. Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 27b View FIGURE 27 ) with sides of body subparallel, converging to rounded apex. Apodeme 2.88 X as long as body of penis. Endophallus folded; with long curved brownish portion containing cuticular microstructures. Transfer apparatus flagelliform, ca. 3 X as long as body of penis. Intraspecific variation. Length. Pronotum plus elytron 4.55–6.13 mm. Female elytra dorsally more convex; interval 6 simple, behind middle forming weak knob; intervals 3–7 with rows of long erect scales; erect scales slightly denser on knob of interval 6, without dense fringe.

Material examined. Type specimens. Male, lectotype by present designation: INDONESIA, C-Bali, Gn. Bratan, 1913, E. Stresemann; labels ( Fig. 27c View FIGURE 27 ); condition: fair; genitalia in glycerol in microtube; DNA extraction ARC4024 View Materials (GenBank # OR557440) ( SMTD). Paralectotypes: 5 exx, same data as lectotype. Other material examined: 1 ex, ARC3541 View Materials (GenBank # LN866360) INDONESIA, C-Bali: Bedugul , Tamblingan, S08° 15.015´E115° 06.202´, 1200–1300 m, 06-XI-2007 GoogleMaps .

Notes. In the original description, no holotype is designated and the number of specimens at hand is not mentioned. Four syntypes were examined. A lectotype is designated to ensure stability of nomenclature in case additional syntypes belonging to other species are found. The cox1 sequence of the lectotype and a specimen from Lake Tamblingan have a p-distance of 4.69%; no morphological differences could be detected .
