Description. Lectotype ( Fig. 22a View FIGURE 22 ). Length. Pronotum plus elytron 5.40 mm. Integument black, covered with green scales; subglabrous black granules lending mottled appearance. Head with vertex microreticulate, squamose, middle of forehead with some radial wrinkles. Rostrum 1.28 X as long as wide, sides subparallel, weakly widening apicad. Pronotum ca. as long as wide (1.03 X); punctate-granulate. Elytra 1.32 X as long as wide; intervals with rows of subglabrous granules each bearing a long, erect bristles its length subequal an interval´s width; densely mottled with patches of green round appressed scales. Abdomen. Ventrites 1–2 at middle concave, without scales, coarsely punctate-rugose;sublaterally squamose.Ventrites3–5 nude except with sparse suberect setae, microreticulate; ventrite 5 medially with impression, coarsely punctate-rugose. Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 22b View FIGURE 22 ) with sides of body subparallel, apex subangulate, medially tip slightly extended, curved ventrad. Ostium large, at center of body. Apodeme 2.3 X as long as body of penis. Intraspecific variation. Length. Pronotum plus elytron 5.40–5.80 mm.

Material examined. Type specimens. Male, lectotype by present designation: INDONESIA, SE Sulawesi: Kendari, III.[18]74, O. Beccari, “12664”; labels ( Fig. 22c View FIGURE 22 ); condition: fair, formerly pinned through right elytron; genitalia in glycerol in microtube; DNA extraction ARC7305 View Materials (GenBank # OR557458) ( SMTD) . Paralectotypes: 2 exx, DNA extraction ARC7304 View Materials (not sequenced) , same data as lectotype ( SMTD). Other material examined: INDONESIA, SE Sulawesi: 1 ex, ARC6764 View Materials ( GenBank # OR541118) , SE-Sulawesi, Kendari, Moramo, S04° 13.377´E122° 44.610´, 153 m, 16-IV-2013 ( SMNK) GoogleMaps .

Notes. Pascoe (1885) based the original description on an unknown number of specimens; he did not designate a holotype. Three syntypes fitting his description were found at SMTD. A lectotype is designated to ensure stability of nomenclature .
