Type material examined. Holotype ( Figs 2 View Figures 1–4 , 7 View Figures 5–8 ): male,” N. Vietnam, Mt. Fan-si-pan, 16[00]– 1800 m, near Chapa , 22°20'N, 103°40'E, secondary forest, May 1995, leg. local collectors, ex coll. A. Paratypes: 43 males, 21 female from N Vietnam, Fan-si-pan Mt , as listed by Volynkin & Černý (2017) .

Additional material examined. 2 male, 1 female, 26. VI .2018, Gaoligong Natural Reserve, Baoshan City , Yunnan Province, 1600m, leg. Tian-tian Yu, Zhou Chang & Zhi-wei Dong, gen. preps. in glycerol by Huang ( SCAU) .

Remarks. In the original description of the female, Volynkin & Černý (2017) mentioned that the corpus bursae of the female genitalia bears a “small rounded signum situated medially” and that “signum” is well visible in the figure. However after a more careful examination of the female genitalia photo of the paratype illustrated in Volynkin & Černý (2017) and the dissection of the female from China, we found that the so-called “signum” is actually a remaining fragment of spermatophore or something similar to that. Concerning its position and the quality of the photo, it is easily misunderstood as a signum. For this reason we conclude that the female genitalia of O. fansipana lack a signum bursae.

Distribution. The species is currently known from North Vietnam (Lào Cai Province) ( Volynkin & Černý 2017) and Southwestern China (Yunnan Province) (the first record from China).
