Literature records. Nuoro prov.: Jerzu, road to Perdasdefogu ( Zoia & Latella 2006).

Distribution. Polytypic species, distributed in the whole of Europe, eastwards as far as the Caucasus and Anatolia. The nominal subspecies in Italy is distributed in the mainland and Sicily. It lives in the leaf litter of broad-leaved woodlands, and occasionally enters natural caves.

Chorotype. European.

Remarks. Known so far only from one site in Sardinia.
