Distribution: Endemic to Greece: Rhodos Island (EA).
Type material: Holotype: male 8.2 mm, No-11A= Spring-brook along river Goudouras ( Gaidouras ), Apollona region, Rhodos Island, Greece, 12.03.1973 (leg. J. Stock) ,. Holotype deposited in KCPM .
Remarks: Niphargus pararhodi shares the same type locality with N. rhodi , another known Niphargus from Rhodos Island, in the southerneast part of the Aegean Sea. The description of the species is based on a single male.
Etymology: Named pararhodi because of its similarity with Niphargus rhodi .
