Type Locality: Indonesia, Sulawesi, Temboan.
Vernacular Names: Sulawesi White-handed Shrew.
Distribution: Tropical rainforest of N, C, and SW Sulawesi ( Musser, 1987 a).
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Karyotype has 2n = 30, FN = 50 ( Ruedi and Vogel, 1995).
