Pl. 1, Figs 2, 3

M a t e r i a l. Pollen grains from the Govone, Sioneri and Ciabòt Cagna sections.

R e m a r k s. Under the optical microscope Cupressoideae pollen grains do not show clear morphological features essential for identification at the genus or species level ( Van Campo-Duplan 1953, Kurmann 1994). In the pollen record, indistinct Cupressoideae are always present, sometimes at high percentages ( Bertini and Martinetto 2008) as recorded here for the Sioneri and Ciabòt Cagna sections.
