HOLOTYPE: AMNH 186071 About AMNH , adult female, collected at Pomará , 05.16S, 78.26W ( Stephens and Traylor, 1983), 1100 ft, lower Río Marañón , Amazonas, Peru, on 8 August 1924, by Harry Watkins (no. 8408). GoogleMaps
COMMENTS: Todd gave the AMNH number of the holotype in the original description and noted that he had five specimens in his type series. The four paratypes, all from Peru, are: Huarandosa, Río Chinchipe, AMNH 182205 About AMNH , 182206 About AMNH , females, 10 and 12 September 1923, by Watkins (nos. 7807 and 7813) ; Pomará , Río Marañon, AMNH 186069 About AMNH , 186070 About AMNH , males, 8 August 1924, by Watkins (nos. 8399 and 8407) .
