Notes

Morphology can vary from thin encrusting to laterally spreading masses of branches and protrusions. Maximum recorded size: 50 cm across. Can form tubes as seen above. Oscules either spread across the surface or at the top of tubes. Colour purple to grey (Fig. 159).
