Key to the species of Anhangatermes based on soldiers and workers

1. Soldier tergites with 6 or more bristles ( Figs. 5 A, 5D); clypeus with 2 bristles; head capsule with two bristles on vertex and several bristles on base of nasus and lateral sides ( Figs. 6 A, 6B, 6E, 6F, 7B, 7C).................................... 2

- Soldier tergites with a single row of 4 bristles on posterior margin ( Figs. 5 B, 5C); clypeus without bristles; head capsule with only two large bristles, both located on vertex ( Fig. 8 )......................................................... 3

2. Tergites of soldier with a single row of bristles on posterior margin; meso- and metanotum usually without bristles, sometimes with one or two ( Fig. 5 A).............................................................. A. anhanguera , sp. n.
