Diagnosis. I. finbosella belongs to the group of species with black scales along dorsal margin in the male hindwing. Externally it resembles I. squamodorella and I. nigrosquamella but the forewings are darker, nearly black, the light brown markings are poorly expressed, and the whitish pattern along dorsum is absent. The male genitalia are characterized by the very large hook at the apex of gnathos. The female genitalia can be recognized by the very small posterior sclerite in combination with the narrow but long anterior sclerite.
