Vernacular Names: Handley's Tailless Bat.

Synonyms: Anoura brevirostrum Carter 1968 ; Anoura werckleae Starrett 1969 .

Distribution: Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
