Taxon discussion

First insights of hybridization amongst species of sect. Carex Wheelerianae . The sampled specimens were co-occurring with the two putative parental species in the area (see comments under C. lepida and C. roalsoniana ) and showed intermediate morphological characteristics between them (see Jiménez-Mejías and Reznicek (2018)).
