Distribution. Nearctic, transcontinental in Canada, reported from A/S ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada: AB, BC, LB, NB, NF, NS, NT, ON, QC, YT. USA: AK, AZ, CO, ME, NH, WA, WY.

Collection and Habitat data. Specimens were captured from May to October in NH using flight intercept and Malaise traps, and some were found on the side of a water tower. In Canada, recorded in coniferous, deciduous, and mixed-wood forest types, and coastal limestone barrens. Adults were often found in rotting mushrooms, carrion, forest leaf litter, moss, and human feces ( Klimaszewski et al. 2011, 2018).
