OCCURRENCES. — Roma Chambo section and Mendang section; Aptian and Albian.

REMARKS

Morelletpora turgida represents a rather common species in the upper Aptian-Albian parts of the Langshan Formation, often dispersed with individual thallus fragments in orbitolinid-rich facies ( Fig. 5D). Here the typical barrel-shaped isolated segments prevail. Packstones with abundant thallus fragments and are orbitolinids characterized by more elongated, almost cylindrical segments ( Fig. 5F).
