Carinoscapula bispinosa (Nielson) View in CoL comb. nov.

Moderately large, slightly robust species, 8.40–8.90 mm. General color dark tan to brown with black markings, veins of forewings marked with small ivory to orange spots. Head narrower than pronotum; crown narrower than to as wide as width of eyes, lateral margins not carinate; pronotum and mesonotum shorter to longer than crown; forewing venation as in Boliviela ; clypellus broad, inflated basally; male pygofer large with 2 very prominent caudal processes; aedeagus tubular with prominent triangulate ventral lobe or keel subbasally, apex with 1–2 distinctive spines; style very long to moderately long; dorsal connective bifurcate basally, attached subbasally to but never enclosing aedeagal shaft.

Remarks. This genus was formed by fragmentation of Boliviela in which 2 species were removed to comprise the new genus. The large ventral, triangulate subbasal keel will separate the new genus from members in the Boliviela genus group.
