Remarks: Many of the above records are unreliable, as they are either older identifications of a species originally described from Europe, or modern lists based on these outdated records. This species appears to be recently introduced and most of the reliable records “are from localities near coasts” ( Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, p. 942).
