Material examined. EAST TIMOR. East of Atauro Island , 08°13’ 48”S 125°36’56”E, outer reef, coral reef slope, fine-leaved Halimeda sp., 15 m depth, 20 Sep 2012, coll. L.E. Hughes, 1 spec. ( AM W.45644) .

Habitat. In amongst dead corals, algae, sponges and other biological concretions; from intertidal to shallow depths ( San Martín et al. 2008b).

Distribution. Circumtropical, including the Mediterranean Sea ( San Martín 2003) and Australia (Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland; San Martín et al. 2008b). First record for East Timor.
