Up to 1 m; stem striped with green or red, erect, branched mainly in the basal part. Leaf-blades ± olive-green, ovate or broadly ovate to elliptic, 3-5 cm, c. 1.5 times as long as wide, usually dentate; margin not red. Inflorescences dense. - [2n=36]
