Material examined. Kenya, 9 females, Naivasha National Park , altitude 1715 m, May 3, 2006 ; 5 females, Nakuru National Park , altitude 1765m, May 4, 2006 ; 3 females, Wyaundo Island , altitude 1310 m ; one female, Ndere Island, Nyanza Province , altitude 1400 m, December 12, 2006 ( El-Banhawy ) .

Female: Dorsal shield smooth, 335 long, 250 wide, with six pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 28, j3 35, j4, j5, j6, J2 10–12, J5 6, z2, z4, z5, Z1 12, Z4 10, Z5 55, s4 28, S2, S4, S5 10 –12, r3, R1 11, JV5 37. Seta Z 5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth with posterior lobe, distances between St I-St III 58 , St II-St II 69 , St IV free on integument. Genital shield 90 wide. Ventri-anal shield 102 long, 70 wide, with a pair of crescentic pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with three small teeth clustered distally, movable digit with one tooth. Spermatheca calyx cone shaped, 12 long, 7 wide distally, atrium small. Macrosetae sharp distally, Sge II 23 , Sge III 28 , Sge IV 46 , Sti IV 32 , St IV 55 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Cape Province, South Africa, December 7, 1977, M. K. P. Smith Meyer, ( Ueckermann & Loots, 1988), and the male paratype from Chaluma, between Port Alfred and East London, Cape Province, December 7, 1977, M. K. P. Smith Meyer ( Ueckermann & Loots, 1988).
