Material examined. Kenya, 1 male, 2 females, Gesarara route, Kisii, altitude 1692m , Kenya, July 22, 2006 (El- Banhawy); 1 female from Masai Mara National Park , altitude 1800 m , February 12, 2007 (El-Banhawy).

Female: Dorsal shield imbricate, 310 long, 150 wide, with six pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae, j1 24, j3 25, j4 18, j5 16, j6 25, J2 27, J5 9, z2 20, z3 24, z4 27, z5 18, z6 20, Z4 41, Z5 43, s4 31, s6 35, S2 37, S4 39, S5 23, r3 28, R1 18, JV5 38. Setae S 4, Z4, Z5, JV5 knobbed, Z4, Z5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield slightly reticulated, distances between St I-St II 62 , St II-St II 52 , St III of shield, St IV on platelets. Genital shield 58 wide. Ventri-anal shield 100 long, 65 wide, with a pair of round pre-anal pores, and four pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, JV3, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Spermatheca calyx 14 long, slender, flared distally, atrium small. Fixed digit of chelicera with four teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Macrosetae knobbed Sge IV 16 ; 16; 20, St IIV 22; 22; 20, St IV 24 ; 28. Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Male: Dorsal chaetotaxy as in female. Ventri-anal shield, 100 long, 127 wide with a pair of round pre-anal pores and four pairs of pre-anal setae. Spermatodactyl U-shaped, shaft 15 long.

Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Potchefstroom, South Africa, April, 1954 (P.A.J. Ryke).
