Diagnosis. Species in this subgenus have dorsal setal pattern 12A: 7A. All but one have female caudoventral pattern JV: ZV with a total of 34 pairs of idiosomal setae, while T. (T.) longipalpus Swirski & Ragusa ( Chant & Yoshida-Shaul, 1987 has pattern JV3: ZV, with 33 pairs of idiosomal setae. Setae z3, s6, J2, S2, S4, R1, JV2, JV4 and ZV3 present; z6, J1, Z1, Z3 and S5 absent; seta JV3 present/absent ( Chant & McMurtry, 1994).
