Material examined. Holotype female, Kenya, Mt. Kenya, Salient main road, altitude 2000 m, July 13, 2004 (El- Banhawy) . Paratypes, 1 male and 5 female, same data as holotype .

Female: Dorsal shield with anteriolateral striations, dorso-central and postero-lateral ornamentation, 343 long, 203 wide. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 23, j3 28, j4 13, j5 14, j6 16, J2 18, J5 5, z2, z4 21, z5 14, Z1 16, Z4 28, Z5 60, s4 32, S2, S4 23, S5 14, r3 18, R1 14, JV5 58. Seta Z 5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield trilobate posteriorly, distances between St I- St III 62 , St II-St II 67 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 76 wide. Ventri-anal shield 101 long, 70 wide, with a pair of elliptical pre-anal pores mesad to JV2 and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with seven teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx tubular, 18 long, flared distally, atrium 7 long. Macrosetae blunt, Sge II 20 , Sge III 25 , Sge IV 36 , Sti IV 22 , St IV 60 . Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Male: Chaetotaxy of dorsal shield as in female. Ventri-anal shield reticulated, 97 long, 140 wide, with a pair of pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae. Spermatodactyl straight, foot 9 long, toe 2 long, shaft 16 long.

Remarks. This species differs from the other species of Ueckermannseius by the following combination of characters: dorsal shield ornamentation, length of s4, Z4, details of spermatheca, and the blunt macrosetae, particularly on St IV.
