Type species: Harnischia (Cladopelma) tylus Townes, 1945 , by original designation. Other included species. S. digitata sp. n.; S. glabra sp. n.; S. hirta Saether (only female), 1983; S. reissi Jackson, 1977 and S. separata sp. n.
Ecology. The larvae of Saetheria are found in sandy sublittoral zones of oligotrophic lakes and streams (Cranston et al. 1989).
