32. Myrciaria floribunda (H.West ex Willd.) Berg (1856: 330) View in CoL ; Sobral (1993: 16–17) [ Fig. 4L, M View FIGURE 4 ; Fig. 6M View FIGURE 6 ] Widely distributed and cultivated in tropical America, from Mexico to Paraguay and Brazil ( Govaerts et al. 2010, Sobral et al. 2010).

Trees 6 m tall. This species differs from Myrciaria ferruginea by having a flat or raised midvein on the adaxial lamina surface; it differs from M. glazioviana by having glabrous leaves, calyx lobes and hypanthium and by having shorter bracts.
