Pseudokuzicus (Pseudokuzicus) trianglus Di, Bian, Shi & Chang View in CoL sp. nov.

( Map 1 View Map 1 , Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 )

Male. Body small. Fastigium of vertex conical, apex obtuse, narrower than scape of antenna, with a thin longitudinal furrow. Eyes oval, obviously protruding. Apical segment of maxillary palpi slightly longer than subapical one, apex faintly enlarged.

Pronotum short, anterior margin straight, posterior margin angularly rounded, metazona flattened, lateral lobe longer than high, humeral sinus absent ( Fig.1A – B View FIGURE 1 ).

Femora of all legs unarmed on ventral surface. Internal and external sides of ventral margin of protibiae both with 4 spines, mesotibiae bearing 3 spines and 5 spines on internal and external sides of ventral surface separately. Hind legs damaged.

Tegmina abbreviated, narrow and long, apices angularly obtuse, most part of stridulatory area of tegmina covered by pronotum, hind wings shorter than tegmina.

Tenth abdominal tergite moderately broad, posterior margin slightly raised in middle, with 1 process separated into two branches, slightly curved outwards, apices enlarged ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ). Cercus long, slightly flattened in distal portion, with 1 triangle inner lobe in the middle, obtuse apically ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ). Titillator lingulate, not exceeding tenth abdominal tergite, invisible dorsally. Subgenital plate broad, with anterior margin concave and posterior margin rounded, styli extremely short, ovoid ( Fig. 1F View FIGURE 1 ).

Coloration. Body brown. Frons and clypeus darkish brown. Fastigium of vertex yellowish, with 4 irregular darkish brown stripes. Flagellum of antenna with some darkish brown rings. Pronotum yellowish brown, metazona with 1 pair of darkish brown spots on each margin, lateral lobe with dark brown spots on posterior margin. Tegmina brown, with some irregularly dark brown spots. All femora with three irregularly darkish brown spots on external surface. Tibial tympana area darkish brown. All spines on ventral margins of legs darkish brown. The processes of tenth abdominal tergite darkish brown apically. Male cerci yellowish, with inner processes darkish brown; subgenital plate dark brown.

Female. Unknown.

Type material. Holotype: male, Mao’ershan, Xing’an, Guangxi, 26 August, 2011, collected by Xun Bian.

Measurements (mm). Body: 10.0; pronotum: 4.0; tegmina: 7.4; postfemura: damaged.

Discussion. The new species is similar to Pseudokuzicus (Pseudokuzicus) furcicauda ( Mu, He & Wang, 2000) , but differs from the latter in: processes of male tenth abdominal tergite slightly curved outwards, apices enlarged ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ); cercus with 1 triangular inner lobe on middle area, obtuse apically ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ); subgenital plate big, posterior margin rounded, styli extremely short and small, ovoid ( Fig. 1F View FIGURE 1 ).

Etymology. The specific name derives from the triangle lobe on middle area of cercus ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ).

Distribution. China (Guangxi).
