Material examined. CHINA: Yunnan Province: Tengchong County: 1 ɗ, Jietou Township, Zhongping Village, Lijiazhai Group [N25.22180°, E098.41884°], 1820 m, 24 May 2006, Chang-Min Yin, Jia-Fang Hu and Xiao-Hua Yang (HNU-YHY1203). Lushui County: 1 ɗ, Pianma Township, Yakou [N26.00949°, E098.61704°], 3142 m, 17 May 2005, Ke-Ji Guo (CAS-GKJ0604).

Diagnosis. Male palp with large VTA and large RTA, VTA curved dorsally, RTA thick and long, with some black denticles, each denticle with a hair; embolus thick, curved clockwise in helix ( Figs 18 b–e ).

Variation. Total length: males: 2.70–2.90 (n = 2). The blackish brown abdominal markings vary in size; one specimen brown on the dorsal shield of prosoma while another yellow with a pair of blackish brown stripes.

Distribution. China ( Taiwan; recorded also from Tengchong and Lushui Counties of Yunnan Province).

Remarks. This species is similar to L. conflatus sp. nov. ( Figs 4 a–l ) and L. distortus sp. nov. ( Figs 8 a– e ); the differences are discussed in the diagnoses of L. conflatus and L. distortus .
