Description of Halodesulfovibrio marinisediminis LPB 0172

Cells are gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and cocci-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, smooth, and black-colored after three days of incubation at 30℃ on MA. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease activity, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase activity. Does not utilize D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D- maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid.
