V.: Endemit ( St. Helena) ( NUSS 1999).
Ö/B.: Von WOLLASTON (1879) wurde die Art für die mittleren und oberen Lagen der Insel mit einem Vorkommensschwerpunkt in den Gipfellagen verzeichnet. 1995 konnten nur wenige Exemplare zwischen Rose Hill und Cuckhold’s Point und allesamt oberhalb von 600 m beobachtet werden. WOLLASTON (1879) vermutet die Larven an Leptogium tremelloides auct. (Lichenes).
