Key to the species of Conognatha (P.) continua species-group
The four species that comprise this species-group were described after the genus review by Moore & Lander (2010). Portela & Mermudes (2014) made modifications to couplet 48 of the key proposed by Moore & Lander (2010) to include the new species. A simplified identification key for the Conognatha (P.) continua species-group is proposed below.
1 Elytra with bands interrupted in the middle................................................................. 2
1’ Elytra with bands uninterrupted........................................................ C. (P.) continua sp. nov.
2 Pronotum with abundant fine and long setae................................................................ 3
2’ Pronotum glabrous.................................................. C. (P.) caparaoensis Pineda & Barros, 2017
3 Elytra with well-defined bands, but not reaching the suture..................... C. (P.) puris Portela & Mermudes, 2014
3’ Elytra with bands reduced to spots..................................... C. (P.) coffeatus Portela & Mermudes, 2014
