Notes: There are 52 valid species of Gabronthus distributed worldwide, but only three of them have been reported from the Neotropical region (Caribbean islands), all of them as adventive species ( Frank 1983, Peck 2005). The current concept of the genus is that of Smetana (1995: 478).
