Material examined. BATANG HARI DRAINAGE: ZRC 41529 (11), 246.4±345.0 mm SL. ZRC 41902 (1), 272.8 mm SL.
Remarks. Crabs, prawns ( Macrobrachium sp. ; family Palaemonidae ), chironomid larvae and unidenti®ed arthropod remains were found in the guts of four specimens dissected. Vaas (1952) similarly reported the presence of ®shes, prawns, crabs, some cladocerans and rotifers in the guts of H. heterorhynchos from the Kapuas River.
