Type material examined. Syntypes: ♀, ‘ Syrie / Jaffa [hw] // ♀ [p] // HOLOTYPE? [p, red label]’ ( MNHN: Collection Puton). This syntype is mounted on micropin through its pronotum, right foreleg and left hind leg missing, left hemelytron partly outstretched.— 1 ♀, ‘Jaffa [hw] // ♀ [p]’ ( MNHN: Collection Puton). The specimen is glued on small piece of card with black transversal stripe subbasally.— 1 ♀, ‘ ♀ [p]’ ( MNHN: Collection Puton). The specimen is glued on identical piece of card as the preceding one but bearing no locality label. All the specimens are provided with the additional label: ‘ SYNTYPUS / JOPPEICUS / PARADOXUS / Puton, 1881 / labelled: P. Kment 2022’ [p, red label].
