Type:― ARGENTINA: Santiago del Estero: in ripa fl. Río Dulce, Santiago gegenüber, 14-XII-1871, P. G. Lorentz 45 (holotype GOET 009588 digital image at SI).
Note: Cleome tucumanensis is a nom. nov. for Cleome flexuosa Grisebach (1874: 73–74) , nom. illeg. hom., non C. flexuosa Dietrich (1816: 296) .
