Several years of entomological collecting in Grytsjön Nature Reserve, Småland, by The Swedish Malaise Trap Project and by us yielded a single specimen of Peromyia gotohi , which is the first record of this species in the Western Palearctic (see Jaschhof 2001).
Previous distribution. Japan. Occurrence in Sweden: Småland.
Specimen studied. SWEDEN: male (CEC246), Småland , Nybro, Bäckebo, Grytsjön NR, tall forest of aspen and conifers, 17 July–11 Aug. 2014, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof.
