This Aprionus was recently described from three males collected in Finland ( Jaschhof & Jaschhof 2009). Previous distribution. Finland. Occurrence in Sweden: Dalarna, Västerbotten.
Specimens studied. SWEDEN: male (CEC219), Dalarna, Vansbro , Tjärnberget NR, tall coniferous forest with birch, 15 June–23 July 2010, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof ; 2 males (CEC217–218), Västerbotten, Vindeln, Svartberget Experimental Park Åheden , lichen pine forest, 9–23 July 2004, Malaise trap, SMTP (trap 61, collecting event 1301).
