Described from Sudan, this species is commonly found in Africa and Middle East (zur Strassen & van Harten 2008), and also known from India ( Rachana & Varatharajan 2017a). The body size is a little larger than that of F. dilutus View in CoL , and in Saudi Arabia the species breeds in flowers of Acacia spp.

Aqiq, four males, two larvae from Acacia sp. , 23.ix.2020, ( BT) ; Qilwa, two females from Acacia gerrardii , 25.ix.2020, ( BT) ; Shada Al Aala, 41 females, 10 males, four larvae from Acacia sp. , flowers, 26.ix.2020, ( BT) . Riyadh. Al Dawadmi, one female from Zilla spinosa , 13.iii.2020, ( BT) ; Ash-shura, one female from Prosopis juliflora, (BT) ; Rumah, Rawdat Tinhat, one female from Stipa capensis, (BT) . Dirab , 14 females from Acacia tortilis , 9.vi.2020, ( SW) , Soliman, A. Al Oyayna, five females, one male from 7.xii.2020, ( BT) .
