Described from Sudan, this species is commonly found in Africa and Middle East (zur Strassen & van Harten 2008), and also known from India ( Rachana & Varatharajan 2017a). The body size is a little larger than that of F. dilutus , and in Saudi Arabia the species breeds in flowers of Acacia spp.
