Aeolothrips tenuicornis Bagnall, 1926: 280 View in CoL

This species was described from England, with one synonym from Egypt, and is widespread in Europe ( Vierbergen 2022), and Mediterranean countries to the Middle East (zur Strassen 2003). It is very similar to A. deserticola View in CoL in structural details, from which it is distinguished based on rather stable characters (see under A. deserticola View in CoL ).

Material studied. All specimens were collected by Aldryhim, Y. N. & Rasool, I, except where else indicated. Riyadh. Rawdat Khuraim , 20 females, 13 males from Rhazya stricta , two males from Polypogon monspeliensis , 30.i.2019, ( BT) ; Al-Deri’yya, Sudus, three females from Sisymbrium irio , 19.ii.2019, ( BT) ; Zulfi, Rawdat Sabalah, 8 females, five males from Sonchus arvensis , 39 females, four males from Zilla spinosa , eight females, three males from Brassica sp ; 26.iii.2019, ( BT) ; Zulfi, one female from Carthamus tinctorius , 27.iii.2019, ( BT) ; Al Ghat, four females, one male from Lawsonia inermis , 27.iii.2019, ( BT) ; Rawdat Noorah, one female from Peganum harmala , 28.iii.2019, ( BT) ; Houta Sudair, eight females, two males from Capparis spinosa , 28.iii.2019, ( BT) .
