Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by the bifurcated uncus of the male genitalia with slender latero-caudal processes, and the narrowly elongated cucullus.

Description. Male and female ( Figs. 2A–D View FIGURE 2 ). Wingspan, 14.0– 16.5 mm. Head: yellowish brown (grayish brown centrally on vertex), with dense yellowish-white erect scales laterally. Antenna longer than forewing, about 1.2 times the length of forewing; basal segment elongated, golden yellow dorsally, yellowish brown on both sides; flagellum golden yellow, without distinct annulations. 2 nd segment of labial palpus thickened, yellowish brown on outer surface; 3 rd segment slender, longer than 2 nd segment, upturned. Thorax: tegula and thorax yellowish brown dorsally. Hind tibia with yellowish-brown rough scales dorsally. Forewing broadened distally; ground color yellowish-brown, with scattered dark-brown scales; a pair of (often indistinct) dark spots at middle and at end of discal cell; costa slightly arched in basal 1/3, then oblique beyond 2/3; apex angulate; termen slightly concave medially; fringe concolorous with ground color, with yellowish-white basal line; venation ( Fig. 2E View FIGURE 2 ) with R 1 arising from near middle of cell, R 2 arising from near upper corner of cell; distance between R 1 and R 2 about twice that separating R 2 from stem R 3+4+5; R 3, stalked with R 4+ 5 in basal 1/3; R 4 and R 5 stalked in proximal 2/3; R 5 to termen; M 1 remote from R 3+4+5, nearly parallel to M 2; base of M 2 close to M 3; M 3 free, arising from lower corner of cell; CuA 1 and CuA 2 stalked for proximal 3/5; 1A+2A narrowly forked basally; cell closed. Hind wing ground color as in the forewing but slightly lighter; apex angulate; base of vein M 2 close to M 3 +CuA 1; M 3 and CuA 1 stalked for about basal half; cell weakly closed before middle of wing. Abdomen ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ): yellowish-brown, speckled with dark-brown scales dorsally, yellowish white on segments V-VIII laterally; narrow spinose zones on dorsal surface along posterior edges; sternum VIII trapezoidal, lacking specially modified sclerites, but with small triangular lobes on anterior margin and a narrow, crescent-shaped, linear sclerite anteriorly; posterior margin more or less convex medially.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 3A, B View FIGURE 3 ): Uncus bifurcate, Y-shaped, with narrow latero-caudal processes, apices rounded. Basal plate of gnathos fan-shaped, with round caudal margin; median process small, about as long as process of uncus. Tegumen broad, with inverted V-shaped anterior margin. Valva broad at base; costa abruptly oblique from near base; ventral margin nearly straight, slightly emarginated at lower corner of cucullus; sacculus weakly developed; cucullus elongated (about 1.5 times the length of basal part of valva), gradually broadened distally, densely setose, with strong setae along margins; apex rounded. Juxta quadrate, with short, digitate latero-caudal processes; caudal margin slightly convex medially. Aedeagus stout, broadened basally; ventral margin strongly produced basally; cornuti consisting of several rows with minute spinules.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ): Caudal margin of abdominal sternum VIII deeply emarginated (with U-shaped notch), several close-set setae along caudal margin. Antrum funnel-shaped, membranous. Ductus bursae narrowed in posterior 1/5, broadened beyond, once coiled in anterior 1/5; ductus seminalis arising from near posterior 1/3. Corpus bursae large, ovate, slightly shorter than ductus bursae; signa consisting of a crescent-shaped, heavily sclerotized sclerite (near at posterior entrance extended to an inverted hat-shaped plate at left side), and an elliptical spinose plate at right side beyond half of corpus bursae.

Distribution. Madagascar (eastern region).

Etymology. The species name is derived from the Korean term hana , meaning the first or a single.
